Senior Laravel Software Developer

In this role, you will:
independently solve complex technical challenges and take ownership of technical solutions and code quality.
design and develop modern back-end solutions using PHP and the Laravel framework.
build user-friendly front-end applications using React or other JavaScript frameworks.
contribute to the development and improvement of internal back-end architectures, methodologies, and best practices.
design and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-quality web applications.
collaborate closely with clients, designers, analysts, and front-end and back-end development teams.
ensure high code quality through code reviews and adherence to best practices.
participate in effort estimation, project scoping, and proposal preparation, including support for sales activities when needed.
apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills in day-to-day development work.
We expect you to have:
at least 3 years of experience in back-end development and software architecture design and implementation.
strong proficiency in PHP and at least 2 years of hands-on experience with the Laravel framework.
experience with JavaScript-based frameworks, especially React (Vue.js is also a plus).
solid experience in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
good understanding of relational databases and experience in writing and optimizing database queries.
experience with automated unit testing.
experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g. GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins).
hands-on experience developing containerized solutions using Docker.
experience with SOA and/or microservices-based architectures.
good understanding of software security principles and best practices.
experience working in an agile development environment.
excellent communication skills in both Estonian and English.
Nice to have:
experience with microservices-based and large-scale systems.
ability to create architecture and application diagrams (e.g. component diagrams, deployment diagrams, data models).
prior experience with DevOps tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
interest in taking ownership of architectural decisions and shaping technical direction.
