Java Architect
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Contribute to the development of complex information systems and help build sustainable and secure solutions for Estonia’s e-government.
- Design and implement system architecture solutions in collaboration with other architects and development teams.
- Develop and maintain Java applications and microservices.
- Lead the resolution of technical issues and support junior developers.
- Ensure code quality through testing (unit tests, integration tests, and code reviews).
- Participate in service design and analytics teams in the implementation of ideas.
- Optimize system performance, security, and scalability.
- Contribute to the adoption of best practices in the development process (CI/CD, DevOps, Agile).
- Document architectural and technical solutions as well as development decisions.
Our expectations of you:
- At least 3 years of experience as an information systems architect.
- Project experience with relational databases and high-availability (clustered) system solutions.
- Experience in developing and integrating REST services.
- Experience in creating authentication and authorization solutions based on OAuth and SAML.
- Practical experience in developing microservice-based architectures and machine interfaces.
- Experience with Kubernetes (including container management).
- Excellent command of Estonian and English.
We value if you have:
- Previous experience in developing national information systems and knowledge of the principles of X-Road and the Government Cloud.
- Interest in applying AI solutions.
